Target Audience: Supply Chain Practitioners, Stakeholders and Affiliates who influence or are influenced by the Supply Chain profession being professionals, vendors, customers, decision makers in business and academia not forgetting policy makers in government.

We are expecting over many participants from across different industries and will have speakers, special guests and stakeholders from the business sector, academia and government.

In line with our Credo to Connect, Learn and Inspire, we are hosting the second annual gathering of Supply Chain Professionals in a Conference on the theme “A Resilient Supply Chain in a Competitive Global Market: The Role of the Practitioner”.

The Chairperson for the conference was Mr Ebo Hammond (President, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport-Ghana). The Key note address was given by Madam Adjoa Safo (the Minister of Procurement). Speakers for the conference were

The aim of the conference was to explore the forces shaping our industry in the region with particular focus on competing with the international markets amidst the rising impact of worldwide Political and Socio-economic factors, sustainability concerns, Big Data applications and Smart Technologies. It helped practitioners and students in attendance to explore ways in which a resilient supply chain can deliver improvements to Ghanaian businesses and the Ghanaian economy as a whole.

In addition to the speaking sessions, the day’s activities have been design to offer opportunities for individual participation through interactive question-and-answer time, break-out sessions to find multi-industry solutions to the conference case study and many opportunities for networking and business relationship building.

We were supported by a number of corporate and media sponsors who, along with the participants and stakeholders were impressed by the organization, patronage and success of the event that brought many supply chain professionals together.

The maiden Supply Chains Connect (SCC) Conference was held on 7th December, 2018 at the Sunlodge Hotel, Accra and saw over 150 participants from Ghana, the UK and Sierra Leone. The participants were stakeholders, influencers and professionals at different stages of their career in the various supply chain professions in charge of logistics, inventory, manufacturing, procurement, customer service, health and safety, warehousing, distribution, transport etc., representing about 20 different industries.

The Chairperson for the event was the Country Manager of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Ghana, Mrs. Stella Addo. Additionally, we had seasoned speakers who spoke on various topics shown below:
